The Retailers Association is a Peak national industry body in Australia representing a broad base of retail segments from food and grocery, to furniture and electrical, to gifts and homewares, just to highlight a few. Members of our association are Australian, independent small business operators, which collectively represents one of the largest overall employment segments in the country today.
There are various peak industry associations representing the views and needs of their members across industries Australia and we are proud to play our prominent part in achieving positive policy developments on behalf of those in our important sector, that we represent. Our view is that our members deserve a "Voice" and it's our role to help them achieve that on a national scale.
The Retailers Association commenced operations in its original form over 120 years ago originally in Brisbane, Queensland.
Our primary areas of operation are in the lobbying of local, state and federal governments, on policy best suited to our members, media liaison on behalf of members, provision of services and support to independent retailers and participation in various industry forums.
